Q: My '94 Toyota Camry starts, but is immobile because it will not allow me to push in the side kn?
My '94 Toyota Camry starts fine, but is currently immobile because it will not allow me to push in the side knob that enables the car to switch gears. I am not sure what the little knob is called, but it is the one on the left side of the gear shifter that you push in with your thumb while moving the stick to another gear. What could be the problem?
A: The little switch inside is broken. If you get the Chiltons Guide at the library it will give you step by step how to disable the switch or replace it. I drilled one out with a titanium drill bit once, but just hit the right spot by luck. Don't try it.
Q: How do you replace a right front blinker on a 1993 Toyota Camry?
My boyfriend has a mildly beaten up but still well running 1993 Toyota Camry. We recently got into a minor accident in which we exchanged car paint with the other car and knocked out our right front blinker light. We didn't break the anything on the front or dent it, it just stopped working. Please help?
A: You can reach the signal light from under the bumper. You may have to remove the plastic splash guard. You can then give the bulb socket a 1/2 turn and it will come out. You probably have a bulb that is no good.
Good luck.
Q: How do I replace an antenna on a 1992 toyota camry?
I need to replace my antenna on my 1992 toyota camry, how do i replace it?

Q: Can the 2007 and the 2008 Toyota Camry play an MP3 disk?
I want to put some songs onto one CD in MP3 format, and I need to know if the 2007 and 2008 Toyota Camry can play it. I will be renting the car in a few months, and I plan on playing an MP3 disk in it, if it can handle it.
A: Absolutely. My Camry Hybrid is a 2007 and has a 6 disk changer. It will play mp3 and wma format.
Q: How do I install aftermarket speakers in a 2000 Toyota Camry?
I want to install some 6x9 aftermarket rear speakers in my Toyota Camry. I already have the old speakers out, but the screw holes in the new speakers don't line up with the factory holes. How do I attach the new speakers to the car? (Also I don't have a speaker bracket.)
A: Assuming that the speaker fits securely in the opening without gaps, use self-tapping screws to mount the speaker in the deck metal. You'll just have to make your own holes.
If the speaker doesn't fit securely or if there's a gap, you'll need to fabricate or purchase a mounting bracket.
Q: What is the lug pattern on a 1999 Toyota Camry?
I had a '91 Subaru Legacy and now I have a '99 Toyota Camry. The lug pattern looks the same (5 lug, star) on both rims, and I want to use the Subaru rims on the Toyota. Is this possible or would something be different about the rims? I don't want to start changing them over and waste my time if it's not going to work.
A: I bought a used Camry in Mississippi last week and saved some cash. I haven't had any problems yet. I only buy used cars. http://www.findusedcardealer.com
Q: My 2000 Toyota Camry is making a deep groaning sound when accelerating?
My 2000 Toyota Camry is making a deep groaning sound when accelerating, especially in middle RPM's. It seems to get louder if I drive it longer. It never used to be this loud up until recently. Any ideas if this could be serious or what it could be?
A: does it seem to be related to engine speed? or the speed of the car?
if engine speed related it could be a waterpump bearing or a timing belt idler. if vehicle speed related, it would be a frt axle bearing---try turning and shifting the weight to the left and rt while driving; get louder? or quieter? any play in the wheels? the 4 cylinder has a separate differential fluid chamber--is there fluid in the differential?--it hard to check without a hoist as the fill plug is on the back cover and most oil change places forget to check the level. It could be serious, so dont delay getting it checked..the side of the highway is not where you want to have to work on your car. good luck. T&T
Q: How many mile should i change transmission fluid for my Toyota Camry 1999?
How many mile should i change transmission fluid for my Toyota Camry 1999? How many qu it needs? What kind the fluid for my car? How much it cost to change fluid? I think i changed it in 10k miles last time, right now my car has 125,000 miles. Thanks
A: ok this is kinda a goofy answer but try to follow me on this.
When changing the Trans fluid on a car, there are 2 extremes.
First one is if you do it every 40k or sooner with a complete flush. This ensures the parts stay in great condition for their life.
BUT this one applies more to you, when changing trans fluid seldomly, you should only do it every 90k to 120k and ONLY change what can come out due to gravity (aka approx 4 quarts) because the build up of the dirty fluid in the trans have deposited on crucial parts and is keeping them strengthened... a though cleaning could remove build up that was keeping the transmission from functioning properly. the reason you are even changing part of the fluid to to add some needed lubricants and additives to the current fluid.
Q: How much first maintenance of new toyota camry cost?
I bought a new 2007 Camry LE 4 months ago. I took it to the dealership and they charged me high amount. I want to know how much usually dealers charge for servicing/ first maintenance of Toyota camry?
A: the first service should be at 30k.and be no more than 400 for this car.oil change and tire rotations should be done of course at regular intervals.i do them at 5k,do both at the same time.front wheel drives need tire rotation religiously.if that is what you are talking about it should be no more than 50.00.the 30 k consists of oil change, tire rotation, cabin air filter, transmission fluid change, inspection of vehicle, rear brake adjustment and cleaning.on this model,400 would be high,as alot of things are simply inspected.the amount would then depend on the local labor rate.
at four months old, just saw that,it should not be more than fifty.but i would have to see a list to say what was to high.goodluck

Q: what performance upgrades for a 1990 toyota camry?
i have a 1990 toyota camry 2.0L 4CYL and live in australia and have a buget of $400 to send in making my car go faster.i can not swap the engine and i can not sell the car and get a better one.
the car already has a full retrim im leather and 18" wheels and a stero in progress.
A: Dude, an 18 year old 4 cylinder Camry? You just don't have anything to work with there. Sorry, but $400 isn't going to transform an "econo-box" into a street performer.
Edit: By the way, my restored Firebird is worth more every year that goes by...39 year old muscle cars with matching numbers steadily increase in value, little Japanese cars don't!
