Q: How to remove Buckets Seats in Nissan Sentra and install a different type of seat?
So I have a Nissan Sentra and I cannot stand the bucket seats in it. I know I know, why would I ever want to change the seats? They annoy me lol.
Can someone tell me if I can actually go about and change the seats and get some new ones installed and how much it would cost for them?
A: You can buy seats for about $225 each from Jegs, for some decent bucket seats.
You either need adapter brackets, or to reinforce your floor and drill new holes to mount the seat. You'll need to peel the carpet back if this is the case, to weld in the reinforcement.
Figure about $300-500 to have a shop do the installation by drilling the floor, or about $150 for an adapter (if one exists), or about $250 to have an adapter made by a metal fab shop.
Q: How much would it cost to change rims on a Nissan Maxima 1995?
I want to change my rims from my Nissan Maxima 1995. How much would it cost to get those nice ones ?
A: I paid $960 on ebay for tires and wheels.. 18X8.5
You would probably be happy with 17X7.5 which would cost you about $800.
Just make sure your getting the wheels with tires mounted and balanced. That way you (or one of your friends) can put them on for you and all you will need is an alignment
Q: Is the Nissan Tiida and the Nissan Versa really the same car?
I am looking to buy some altezza tail lights for my Nissan Tiida. I cannot seem to find anywhere that sells Nissan Tiida Tail lights in the USA (I can only find Nissan Versa altezza tail lights). Can anyone let me know if the Nissan Versa tail lights will work on my Nissan Tiida (This will save me the trouble of trying to return them if they do not fit) Thanks.
A: "The Nissan Tiida is a compact car manufactured by Japanese automaker Nissan, replacing both the long-running Pulsar and the Sunny models as of September 30, 2004. Available in Australia, South Africa, Finland, Ireland, former easten block countries, China and Sri Lanka as the Tiida it is also known in export markets as the Nissan Versa (North America) and Nissan Latio (Southeast Asia). "

Q: What is the difference between japanese and english brake calipers on NIssan Almera N16?
I need to get a rear brake caliper for a Nissan Almera N16 with 1.5 litres engine. In the shop there is two types, for cars made in england and for cars made in Japan, My car is japanese and the caliper is 300 euros, where the english one is only 175. Is there such a big difference between them?
Thanks
A: Try here;

or here;

obviously, the 2 types of caliper are completely different & can't be interchanged.
Q: What type of rims and auto audio system is good for 2007 Nissan Versa?
For anyone who has a Nissan Versa Hatchback and/or is a car enthusiast - what type of tire rims would you suggest? what type of auto audio system would you suggest as there's really not much space in the trunk area? not trying to be the flashiest or loudest car on the road, please suggest something decent and also for the audio system, some size that will still leave some room (don't want to take up a lot of space). Thanks for your help.
A: Something like these: depends on the color

Q: Can i use the performance parts from the nissan 350z on my 2009 nissan maxima?
There are NO performance parts on the market for the 2009 Nissan Maxima. So, since they both share the exact same engine. Can i use the more common 350Z upgrade parts on the Maxima?
A: If the cars really have the same engine, I'd imagine that the Maxima has a detuned version. I'm not positive but I'd be willing to bet that the Z has hotter cams, high compression, and better flowing induction system. Maybe you can can upgrade some of those components but seriously ask yourself, is it worth it?
Why would you buy a brand new front wheel drive Maxima and try to mod it? This car simply isn't designed for performance like the Z is, and chances are you will void your warranty with any performance mods. If I was you, I'd sell this car and buy a used infiniti G35 if you want better performance and still room for 4 people.
Q: Have you ever owned a nissan patrol turbo diesel wagon and have problems?
Please let me know if you have had any trouble with your nissan Patrol.
A: No I have not had any problems what-so-ever or even had one.
Q: How to get out of Nissan with electric locks when battery is dead?
How do you get out of a Nissan Xterra when you're locked inside with a dead battery? It has electric locks and no button to pull up.
Sorry, those two first answers won't work. The handle doesn't work if there is no battery....
We had to wait for a tow truck to arrive to unlock the doors from the outside. There must be a way to unlock them from the inside in an emergency....
A: Pull on the handle.
Q: How many cylinders does a nissan maxima have?
I wanted a nissan altima 2.5SL and then I found out it only had 4 cylinders (which apparently is bad???). So now seeking alternatives. Thanks for the help!
A: WHOA WHOA WHOA...
You should test drive the 4 cyl Nissan Altima before you pass it up! who and the he!! told you 4cyl cars are bad? most 4cyl cars can have as much power as many other engines and even be faster than larger engines...
but if you want to know, the Nissan Maxima is a standard V6... the Nissan altima can have a optional V6, too the same one used in the Maxima and Nissan Murano...
Q: How much to replace a Nissan 300z engine?
I'm in the market for a car purchase and I've got my sights set on the Nissan 300z. Unfortunately, most of the cars I'm looking at have 150,000 miles or more and, in the case of the one I'd probably buy, over 200,000. I figure that the car won't last too much longer on an engine with that many miles, so how much would it cost to replace the engine? Does it have to be a 300 engine or can some other make and/or model engine be substituted? It's a 1994, if that matters. Thanks.
A: i own a repair shop and it does need to be a 300 z engine to go back in it,and your probably not going to find one that hasn't got less than 150 thousand on it,if you like the car good enough though and you think its worth keeping you can go to jasper engines web site and price out one of there engines, they come with a 3 year 75 thousand mile warranty on them, and that's a pretty good warranty, but when they rebuild an engine they put everything new in it ,the site is japerenginesandtransmissions.com,,, you,ll have to type it in i cant post it to go strait to it,but they have everything ,good luck hope this helps.
Q: What can I do with a nissan 240sx rusted frame?
I just bought a nissan 240 sx but it wont pass the inspection cuz the frame is to rusty. There is wholes developing at many places on the frame. I was wondering if there is anything I could do to fix it without spending to much money. Other than the frame the car is pefect I love it but sad that it wont pass the inspection.
A: Do not buy a new car or do not sandblast it. You can but small sheets to replace the holes. Put a few sheats on the bad spots on the unibody and then either primer paint or oil something to make the unibody look like it used to. I know thats all your car needs to pass inspection because the rest is good except get a new clutch you need one. But cover those up and paint them and you should be well on your way drifter!
Q: What are your experiences with the Nissan Versa?
I just test drove the Nissan Versa today. I really like the feel and look of this car. It's very smooth and comfortable. The only negative thing I noticed it that the initial acceleration was a little sluggish and had to step on the gas harder to make it go. I'm curious to know for those of you who own or have driven the Versa how you like this car. Thanks.
A: Get the Versa SL model it has the CVT transmission that doenst shift and it gives the feel of more power out of your car plus better gas mileage. The car is great and whats his face above is wrong about the maxima being the only good car /w a CVT... the Murano is the Best but what would you know.
Just buy it and enjoy!
Q: How easy can a 6 cyl nissan engine be put in place of a 4cyl?
Looking at an 89/90 Nissan hardbody pickup 4x4 that has a bad 4 cyl engine. Will a 6 cyl bolt up to the transmission (standard) ? Will all the original mounts work or will there have to be some modifications done?
A: May I ask why? The 4 cylinder is a much more reliable engine. With the V6, you'll have a timing belt whereas your 4 cylinder has a chain. Also, the V6 has fuel injector issues. While the V6 is still an overall reliable engine, the 4 cylinder is even more reliable with less things to deal with.
Q: Do Nissan Muranos really have an extra "blindspot" because of the design of the car?
I'm going to be purchasing a new car soon and I really like the Nissan Murano. Someone told me that people who have these SUV's complain of not being able to see out of a blind spot in the back/side. I guess this is supposedly due to the design of the back of the SUV. Anyway, I am planning on test driving one, but I was wondering what everyone thought about this
"rumor". Thanks!
A: I bring your attention to the following link:
http://www.epinions.com/content_395695328900
Notice the following portion of the article written by the test driver:
"However, I simply cannot recommend this car because of the blind spot. I drove it for a week in a variety of conditions: intown, interstate, state highways, residential areas, and had daily "near misses" because of the blind spots at the rear on both sides. I had to pay very keen attention, and even then still had near misses. Between the design of the window pillars and the mirror locations, other cars could get near and I simply could not see them. Because of the poor visibility from inside, I had to drive by mirrors alone when backing up and performing similar maneuvers. A small convex mirror on the left and right mirrors would likely have helped tremendously, but I feel a new car shouldn't have such a flaw. The only vehicles I've ever driven that had such profound blind spots were service vans and large work trucks."
Best wishes!
