Q: Where is the battery located in a Lexus LS 460? I am trying to jump start a car but cannot find it. Thanks!?
ANSWER: I googled and googled and couldn't find anything. Finally I called a dealer, so for those of you who may have the same question, you need to take the plastic piece off on the top of the passenger side (labeled caution) but pushing in the middle of the tabs and pulling them out. The battery is under there. Thanks to everyone!
A: id say rear seat or trunk they put the weight back there to balance it out check owners manuel it should tell you there also could b under the car chrysler did it with the concorde good luck
Q: Is the new Lexus LS 460 a good car to buy overall?
A: The Lexus LS 460 would be an exellent choice in it's class. Probably the best. The quality put in to a Lexus is untouched when compared to Mercedes, and BMW. This is the type of car that will lower your blood pressure the longer you drive it. But it depends on what your after in a car. Mercedes is going to beat Lexus every time driving at high speeds, maneuverability, and handling. Take the Mercedes cls63 AMG for example, The MSRP is somthing like $96,300. 507 horses at 6,800 rpm, 465 Ib-ft. at 5,200 rpm. Not a chance in hell Lexus wins in that department. But the Mercedes is more than likely going to be in the shop 5 times as much as the Lexus. Yes they are beautiful cars but not worth it. Lexus LS 460 has somthing like a 360 horses at 6,400 rpm. I mean, 0-60 in under 6 seconds isn't all that bad. The smart buy = Lexus hands down.

A: Lexus would be my choice over the other models you mention, cheaper running costs and more reliable.

Toyota just unveiled the next-generation Lexus LS challenger, the LS 460. I feel this car will be as momumental in the luxury segment as the venerable LS 400 was back in 1989-- at least in the United States. Do you think the LS 460 will be enough to increase the prominence and raise the prestige of Lexus on an international scale?
A: No not unless lexus really tries to make some cars that really turn heads like they did with the 98-04 gs. They also need cars that can go head to head with the M5,e55, and the likes. If this v-12 hybrid can do what they claim then they are in the game otherwise i belive they they will loose a lot of the market-share that they have worked so hard to gain. Also Infinity is going to give lexus a run for it's money, if they can keep the resale values of there cars on an up swing like they are now then they could really start to damage lexus.

Q: Why do LS 460's sold in Canada not have a "shark fin" antenna, whereas U.S. models have it?
I've noticed that the cars with Canadian license plates do not have a visible antenna, whereas the U.S. version of the car has the shark fin at the rear center of the roof. If you look at pictures of the car on the Lexus Canada site, there is no antenna whereas it does appear in photos on the U.S. site.
A: That antenna is optimized to pick up American stations. The government of Canada does all it can to prevent people receiving American broadcasts directly, and "edits" American radio and TV content that is carried on cable or network. That would include making that particular antenna "illegal" though they are cowards so do not label it illegal but instead say it is "unsuitable and does not meet our standards". If you doubt censorship in Canada, pick up and compare same month issues of for example Time and Readers Digest magazines. Naturally the government states that 'the differences reflect our cultural diversity'. Could not possibly be censorship, could it?

A: the audi s8. that car is pretty sweet and might be more appealing then the others. if not the audi then get the lexus LS 460

Granted, a Scion is not bad for a first car, like a Cessna is not bad for a first-airplane.
But even 150,000 Cessna's still end to end won't get you into space. For that you need the Space Shuttle.
150,000 Scions STILL do not add up to just 1 Maybach, never mind 99 Maybachs.

Why are you comparing these cars? They don't even come close to competing with one another, in any way, at all.
Oh, and the 62S will still be a boring, soulless approximation of greater cars, such as the Continnential.

For me I say the Fiat Bravo.
You get 110KW on a 1400cc, basically you save on fuel and you get the perfomance as well.
And the car looks fantastic.

Q: A question about auto companies?
Do you think auto companies buy their parts from one big company?
The reason I think so because I can see the same parts used in almost every car company? Of course the company makes different textures and styles to fit the car make but it still built on the same platform! For example almost every car make uses that same auto dimming rearview mirror in their cars and all of the mirrors say the same name! Which means all car makes can get any features that another car make has on a model because of them getting it from a company. Just like Mercedes benz can go buy the self parking feature from the company to put on their s-class (like the lexus ls 460) if they wanted to?
A: Yes, I think many parts are from the same company, built to different specifications. This can save the consumer money.
