A: Hold the button on the overhead you want to program. The light will illuminate. Hold the button on your remote with it pointed at the overhead panel. Continue holding until the light on the overhead panel blinks. Repeat for any other remote.

According to the Dealership the steering wheel has become cloudy and dull due to use of hand creams and lotions. The mechanics did not have a fix for the problem. Any suggestions on how I can restore the clearity and shine that my steering wheel once had?

A: This is not repairable you have to get a new steering wheel or you you know they have the steering wheel covers that looks like wood grain. I know because I have the same exact car and it's white and I have steering wheel cover. Yo can purchase it at Advance Auto, Auto Zone or any auto part stores.

Q: How do you like the Lexus gs 300 (yr 92-96)?
I want to get a lexus gs 300 year 95 it has 162k miles and its salvage title, needs the front back bumper, right fender changed, it also has to front seats torn. the engine runs decsent he said that he has changed the power steering but it makes squelling sound. He is selling it for $2,100 How does that sound? It looks pretty cool will the front bumper is a little torn but the back is also ripped but its under so you cant really tell but the paint is chipping by the license plate.

When i drove today at first everything was fine but then a battery light came up as i stopped on a red light, but then when i started gassing it went off. Then after about 4 miles of driving it went on and stayed but, then check engine, trac control, ABS basically all the lights went on and the odometer light started to dim and then my car just turned off like it was out of gas. I think its my CPU but not sure, first i thought it was my alternator but it gives juice to the battery. What can the problem be?

A: It's your alternator. The battery light came on= Alternater goes bad. You gave it gas and got a little juice out of it for a few miles and then it really crapped out and started running off the battery. Once the battery went dead so did your car. Take off the alternator. It's got 2 bolts holding it on and take it to a local auto parts store and they can test it for you. Then put in a new one as it'll most likely be bad and charge your battery or jump start the car and let it run for a while to fully charge your battery.

A: Check your alternator belt. Once you are convinced it is working properly check your battery connections and Then replace your alternator.

A: This is a job for a skilled technician. You have to remove the dash and need the proper tools. It's best to take to a qualified mechanic. A dealer would be best, but probably not the cheapest route.

A: Go to an Autozone store---they will scan the car's computer for FREE and tell you what might be the problem. Could be an oxygen sensor, loose gas cap, EGR valve, all kinds of things. You have the older diagnostic system, so the scan won't tell as much as with newer cars, but it might point you in the right direction, at least telling you what SYSTEM is crying for help.

How do you empty the radiator so I can re-fill it? The water in it really stinks, and when I turn the heating on, the air stinks too. Any ideas? apart from taking it to a lexus dealer, duhh!!!!!

A: Two different problems. Unless there is coolant leaking inside you cars heater system. Leaves debris in front of the windshield make there way into the air intake and mold smell. Carry dogs and cats fur gets into the air conditioning and starts smelling. Best to remove the blower motor and vacuum the evaporator coils and spray disinfectant cleaner to kill whats growing in your A/C system. Coolant really stinks the Toyota Red coolant Probably made from endangered species of dinosaurs is smelly but that is not the smell inside your car. "little trees" deoderizers hanging from the rear view mirror just cover up the funky A/C smell.

A: I had a similar experience with my '01...when I took it in they couldn't find any problem (go figure). If I remember right, I think the service guys told me they disconnected the battery to "reset" the computer, and it never did do the same thing again?.?.?. Maybe something to try on your own...worse case scenario is you'll have to reset your radio presets!

A: You can pull from a Chrysler Sebring, Dodge Magnum, Nissan Pathfinder, Honda Odyssey, Bugatti Veyron... pretty much any car. It's trying to get them to fit into your GS300 that will be tricky. You'll need plenty of duct tape and crazy glue, but it'll look nice later on after you're all done.
