Q: Does anyone have experience with the Honda Fit?
I am looking into perhaps a buying a Honda Fit soon, and I am wondering if some owners could tell me how their Fit has been. To follow up. I'm interested in pretty much any input from Fit drivers. Reliability is a big selling point for me, but I already trust Honda's reliability in general, so in that regard, more specific information would be most helpful (like, for example, does the starter tend to go at a certain mileage?). Really, though, any input would be helpful.

A: the fit is a great car, whether it's the first gen here in the us or the 2nd gen. it handles great, but as previously mentioned, the engine does get a lil bit loud when u realli want it to go. gas mileage is pretty good for around town runs. it's small and compact so it's easy to park. the visibility out of the car all around is great. you see everything. if u do get the auto trans, the paddles are pretty fun to toy around with even if they feel a little bit cheap (they're plastic). oh...and if you plan to carry cargo, this thing can swallow a good amount of whatever u wanna stick in there. as for your starter concern, that depends on how often you start and stop the car obviously. if ur doing around town runs, then yea, ur going to use it more often but the starter should last you a good while

Q: Does a 2007 honda fit come with a aux import?
Im going to buy a 2007 Honda Fit (not a fit sport) from someone tomorrow. when i tried it out to day i couldn't find an aux import. So does it come with a aux import?

A: No. Only the Sport comes with the aux input on the 2007 model. The base model does have an aux input onthe 2009 model.

Q: Whats the lowest possible price for a new Honda Fit Sport?
Hello everyone, I'm interested in a Honda Fit Sport and was wondering if someone could tell me what's the best price I could get for it... no extras added. How much can one haggle off the price when MSRP is: $16,740... ??? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

A: right now? probably nothing. honda's selling them as fast as they can make them b/c of gas prices. when that occurs, you'll be lucky to find a dealer that doesn't have some sort of unnecessary mark up they're trying to gouge you with.

Q: What other fuel tank will fit a Honda Magna?
I have a 1999 VF750c Honda Magna. I need to find a replacement fuel tank. I am fairly certain that Magnas within about 5 years will fit. What other years/ models of tank will fit on this bike? Will a tank from a Honda Shadow fit?

A: Any Magna tank from 1994-03 will fit your bike. All of these year models are virtually identical except for the paint scheme. I don't know about the Shadow tank, I've never heard of anyone interchanging them with the Magna. Some people have modified the Honda Valkyrie tank to fit the Magna. It holds like 6.5 gallons of gas instead of the 3.6 the Magna holds. Here's a link of one for sale, it's a bit pricey but would be awesome to have. Just scroll down to the bottom of the page. http://www.magnariders.com/html/forsale.html

Q: Is BP gas ok to use in a Honda Fit?
The salesman at the dealership said that BP gas was no good in Honda engines, but didn't explain why? Is this phony or should I really not use BP gas in my Honda Fit?

A: So when he told you that why didn't you ask him why instead of asking us why? Maybe the local BP station(s) have more ethanol than other brands in your area. I mean, maybe he had a good reason for telling you this but if you don't ask him, how would those of us from other parts of the world or country have any idea? There are no BP stations in my area at all so I would only be guessing. ****************************************************************** This is what a Fit owner's manual says about fuel requirements: Your vehicle is designed to operate on unleaded gasoline with a pump octane number of 87 or higher. Use of a lower octane gasoline can cause a persistent, heavy metallic rapping noise that can lead to engine damage. We recommend using quality gasolines containing detergent additives that help prevent fuel system and engine deposits. In addition, in order to maintain good performance, fuel economy, and emissions control, we strongly recommend, in areas where it is available, the use of gasoline that does NOT contain manganese-based fuel additives such as MMT. Use of gasoline with these additives may adversely affect performance, and cause the malfunction indicator lamp on your instrument panel to come on. If this happens, contact your authorized dealer for service. Some gasoline today is blended with oxygenates such as ethanol or MTBE. Your vehicle is designed to operate on oxygenated gasoline containing up to 10 % ethanol by volume and up to 15 %MTBE by volume. Do not use gasoline containing methanol. If you notice any undesirable operating symptoms, try another service station or switch to another brand of gasoline. ************************************************************ So there could be any number of reasons you were told not to use BP. Maybe for instance their fuel contains methanol or too much ethanol or MTBE or MMT etc. Or the reason could have something to do with the incident mentioned on this web page: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/002/ripoff0002189.htm

Q: I want to buy a Honda Fit, Any comments?
I'm in the market to buy a 2007 Honda Fit. Anybody know if its any good?

A: If your gona get a Fit .... Good choice for a small car with a big space.... It's bigger then that toyota Yaris.... and it got a V tech (hint) NEVER BUY A CAR AT INVOICE PRICE ..... they make a profit at the invoice price. If you want to save some hundered of bucks ... bargain ... and always bring a new'spaper ad of the other car dealers.... The Sound Sytem of this car is amazing... you have a plug in play music .... less cd's to burn. Lot of gas milage ... I drove it for a test drive ... and it was pretty good but ... not that much of Horse Power is too less for speeders ... on the other hand it got V Tech engine

Q: Is a Honda Fit a good car for a first time driver?
I am really excited about driving and I am now 16 which means I can start learning and get a permit! My family has a Honda Accord and will get me my own Honda and I love small and simple cars as my ideal first car like the Honda Fit :)

A: You also should compare car insurance quotes for different cars before buying one, for example here - autoinsurance.hotusa.org

Q: What is the differ btw honda jazz & honda fit ?
In Singapore :- Honda Jazz : 1.) Made in Thailand. 2.) Import by KAH motor (authorized agent). Honda Fit: 1.) Made in Japan. 2.) Palleral Importer. Is there any others difference other that this ?

A: Honda Jazz is for the Asian market while Honda Fit is for the western market like the US. That explain why Honda Jazz is imported by Agent, and Honda Fit is imported by palleral importer. There are differences of each specs because of the automotive law in specific countries.

Q: Will a igniter unit off an 89 honda accord fit an 87 honda accord?
I have an igniter unit off an 89 accord and I was wondering if it would fit an 87 honda accord.

A: my guess would be that it does because they made accords in a series. I have a 90, and all the ones from 90 through 93 are pretty much the same. I think the 89 and 87 ones are in the same series. So a 1990 one would probably not work, but I think a 1989 one is more likely to work. If you go to an autoparts store (try autozone.com or something like that you can check). if the same igniter is specified for more than one year it is more likely to be ok.

Q: Can a honda bumper fit on a an acura integra?
My 92 integra bumper is cracked and i dont want a radical looking aftermarket bumper. I went looking for another one at yards but they were all taken buti did see alot of honda bumpers. So basically Can a honda bumper(any yr) P.S stock fit on a 92 integra?

A: i believe the eg models (92-95)_fit ur dc1' teg. we messed around and threw one on my friends teg it lookd wierd but look dlike it would work. the integra has more of a agressive bodyline and corners than a civic thats why.

Q: How can I increase the ground clearance on a Honda Fit?
How can I increase the ground clearance on a Honda Fit without negatively affecting the car

A: Load it onto a trailer.

Q: What do you think of the Honda Fit?
Anybody who currently owns a honda fit, can you tell me your experience with this vehicle.

A: VW's are junk - pieces fall off the car due to shoddy workmanship and design Honda Fit: very nice car, drove a friends 08 Sport model, amazing room in a small package. Hard to compare MPG now to older cars, they reworked the calculation to be even more conservative. Though rated at 36mpg, my friends routinely get 43 mpg in our rural setting. Consumer Reports rated the Fit tops in cost per mpg for new cars.

Q: Any NEW news on when Honda Fit...the Jazz elsewhere will get the CVT transmission to North America?
The Honda Fit which is known as the Honda Jazz elsewhere in the world have CVT continously variable transmissions.....and get way better fuel milage......Has anyone heard any news within the last 3-4 months if the new 2009 Honda Fits will get the CVT transmisson.

A: 2009 North American Fits will have CVT.

Q: Buying Honda Fit or Jazz is a better choice?
May i know since Jazz is for local market with 3 years warranty from KAH, then what about FIT? comparing to the hardware of both vehicles, how much is the difference ie; to replace a gearbox? Anyone can tell me?

A: Aren't they the same car?

Q: How do you hook up an iPod to a Honda Fit???
My sister just got an 2008 Honda Fit and for Christmas my mother is getting her an iPod nano... I know there are some features with the Fit that are compatible... but what is needed so that my sister and instantly go out and listen to music in her car with it.. is there a special hook up or something? If so, please let me know exactly what it is so that we may get it.. thanks!

A: The Honda Fit may indeed have some kind of adapter installed in the car for iPod listening, but I can't help with that - I'd guess it would be in the owner's manual. But what you can do if that doesn't work out, it get the cigarette lighter adapter (as said by the poster above). This plugs into your cigarette lighter and has a wire that connects to your iPod. This machine then generates it's own radio channel which you can then plug into and listen to whatever is play on your iPod. This can be easily found at places like Walmart and Target or Best Buy. It's usually around 40 US dollars or so.
