Q: Honda Civic?
I'm looking for a Honda Civic. Are there any websites that compare ALL Civics in your area?? If so, please share. Thank you so much!!!!!

A: yeah check eBay, its the best way to view and compare cars 'in your area.' i am willing to drive about 500 miles to pick up a good car.

Q: How to change a head gasket on a honda civic?
Does anyone know a website that shows a diagram or explaination of how to change a head gasket on a 94 honda civic cx

A: try alldata or mitchell on demand dot coms.

Q: What's the best way to increase the horsepower in my Honda Civic?
I have a 2004 Honda Civic that looks great on the outside (tinted windows, nice wheels, etc). Problem is, it doesn't have the performance to match. What will give me the most horsepower increase for my buck? Turbo charger? Chip? Other ideas?

A: you could put a turbo on it, but that will cost you in the $5000 range, for a 75-100HP gain... and if its not a stick shift thats not even worth it because it will take no time to kill that auto tranny. Also that puts some undue strain on the motor as well. dont nitrous it unless you are willing to build the motor up a bit as that causes more stresses than any other and its only a temporary boost of power. There are many things that can be done to the engine internals i.e. the chip you are talking about for a bit of a gain in power too. Dont fall for the cheapo "performance" chips on ebay though because they dont do anything. That is a tough question to answer given we dont know what kind of power you are looking for and what kind of driving you want to use the power for.

Q: Trunk release on my 1994 honda civic is locked and the master key will not unlock it. Can anyone help me?
I have a 1994 Honda Civic and the trunk release lever on the floor is locked so we cannot use the trunk release. I tried the master key but it doesnt even turn. Can anyone help me unlock the trunk release lever?

A: what you need to do is remove the floor lever. it has one screw, take the cover. it has a cable and pull it forward with plier. that should work because it worked for me.

Q: How much weight can a Honda Civic carry?
I want to use a Honda Civic to pull a car on a trailer and I was just wondering if this is possible. I imagine it is but some people have told me that the engine won't be able to handle the weight. Do you think it will be able to handle the weight?

A: Civics are meant to carry about 600 Lbs.There not meant to tow anything.I have seen them tow small trailers but they don't go fast and I imagine that the engine is going to be damaged

Q: is Honda civic coupe and sedan got the same part from front till door?
I have honda civic coupe 1933 I cant find the parts for front part (hood, lights and bumper .. etc, till the door) part cause the dealer did not get this model in this year my question is the front area from the civic sedna 1933 is simillar

A: these parts should be the same, but go to an auto body paint and supply store and buy them there. they are aftermarket parts, but fit pretty good. i just bought 2 fenders, a hood, right headlight, and left turn signal lens for a '95 Civic coupe and paid $300 for all.

Q: How much money should it cost to replace and repair a radiator for a '92 Honda Civic?
I guess that I need to have the radiator replaced on my '92 Honda Civic, which otherwise works just fine. I'm not sure, though, that I trust the mechanic that I've recently worked with (I somehow get the feeling that he may be taking me to the cleaners). I know NOTHING about cars or auto repair, so any info/tips on how to save money (or how to find a trustworthy mechanic) would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks!

A: About $100 for the radiator and $200 for the labor. 14 years is pretty old for a radiator, so it's a good bet it needs replacing.

Q: What service needs done at 30k miles on a Honda Civic?
I have a 2006 Honda Civic and the dealer wants $390 to do a 30k maintenance on the car. The rattled off some things, like change the auto transmission fluid, rotate tires, change oil filter and air filter and "service" breaks. Everything else was check this or check that. I would rather take it to a local place to get this stuff done. What exactly needs done at 30k?

A: the owner's manual calls for the oil and filter change, tire rotation, air filter replacement, air conditioning filter replacement, brake inspection and the safety and emissions systems component checks. the transmission fluid doesn't need to be changed until 100k this is the list from the owners manual maintenance section Replace engine oil and oil filter Inspect front and rear brakes Check parking brake adjustment Inspect these items: Tie rod ends, steering gear box, and boots Suspension components Driveshaft boots Brake hoses and lines (including ABS) All fluid levels and condition of fluids Exhaust system Fuel lines and connections Rotate tires Replace air cleaner element If you drive in dusty conditions, replace every 15,000 miles (24,000 km). Replace dust and pollen filter If you drive primarily in urban areas that have high concentrations of soot in the air from industry and from diesel-powered vehicles, replace every 15,000 miles (24,000 km). Inspect drive belt shop around with this list and see what prices you are quoted. the dealer is adding "dealer recommended services" to this list such as the transmission service. ask them what it would cost to do just what honda recommends and not what they recommend in addtion to the factory recommendations. hope that helps

A: you can get honda engines from a lot of places, i dont know where you live so i could give you a couple of sites online to look at. if you get the same engine a 1.6 liter inline 4, its gonna be around 700 dollars. you can yes install other engines i would suggest a, b18c you can get for around 2000- 4000 . usually used engines have around 30,000 miles or more on them.

Q: what's the best way to soundproof a 2001 honda civic?
I'm trying to figure out the best way to soundproof (or just quiet) the road noise in my 2001 Honda Civic 2/door. It's kinda loud at 70mph. All answers that are legit are appreciated, especially those from others who've done it already. ...Undercoating, additional carpet, new carpet pad, etc, etc??????? Thanks Rick

A: Plain and Simple....... Take out all the carpeting, and paneling and Dynamat it. Dynamat is mainly to keep your car from rattling due to the power of a system. But the reverse effect is also good it will keep sound out. This will provide a nice smooth, and queit ride perhaps some Bach to enhance the experience.

Q: Honda Civic?
I have a 2001 honda civic LX and earlier today i let my ex gf use it to go to jack in the box. She was backing out and she accidently hit my car backing it into a fence. My real left tail light broke, paint came off, and my rear fender got pushed in really badly and it's coming off a little bit. Does anyone know how much that would roughly cost?

A: There are too many variables involved in body work to give you an accurate number without seeing the vehicle. The best thing you can do is go to a few shops and get some estimates. Nobody on this site is going to be able to give you a number without actually seeing the car.

Q: honda civic?
iight guys this is the whole thing i gotta honda civic 95 and its automatic, how much would i need to convert it to a stick shift??? or is there a shop that i can have it done?????

A: no it does not go to another place to answer ?'s it will cost as much as the junkyard will sell it for no more then 700 the only thing is you will need to buy a new clutch i would not get it from a junkyard everything bolts right up except the shift linkage you will need to drill 2 holes on the bottom of the car after you take the auto assembly out but other than that your good the 92-95 civics should already have the bracket there for the clutch pedal so good luck

Q: Honda Civic?
My boyfriend has a '95 Honda Civic (auto, 4 doors). He just got it a couple weeks ago. We took it on a road trip and I noticed it has absoulty no power. It struggled to go the speed limit (70mph) on even a slight grade or turns. Is this how honda civics are supposed to be? I have a '93 toyota camry and that thing moves fast!

A: Did the Honda suck on the test drive before he bought it? Perhaps there was some monkey business going on? Maybe the engine is burnt out? Check the compression. Could be something stupid like a stuck EGR valve, that will rob you of a lot of HP. Or clogged Fuel filter? These are the only things I can think of to make an engine drop in power over the period of test drive to 1 week later.
