I've been looking around for my next car and found a 2005 Acura TSX with 14,000 miles on it. The car is at an Acura dealer and they asked for 22,988. Is this a good price for it? What percentage am I looking into if I want to finance this car?

for 23K you can get a 06 or 07
they are trying to make too much on this one, even if it was mint condition and low miles 05 is not worth that much

But I'm worried that it might make my insrance rate go up ( my insurance rate has gone up a little bit,recently) a lot. A: So what if they do raise your rates? I would rather have them pay a $10,000. claim and have my rates go up than to keep my rates low and pay the $10,000. out of my own pocket. Seems to me you have only one sensible thing to do.

Going to change the engine oil on my '05 TSX. If there is anyone out there that has a TSX, what type of oil and filter so you use?
A: Mobil 1 5w30 get it at walmart pretty cheap by the 5qt bottle and honda filter best, anything but fram dont use it, Napa has pretty good oil filters.
Q: Do we need to use Premium fuel in an Acura TSX?
Can we use regular unleaded gasoline in an Acura TSX or do we need to use premium fuel in the car?
A: Acura recommends it, but it's not required. However, multiple people have said that the car's performance suffers from using lower-grade fuel.
Don't think of premium fuel as such a hindrance. It costs more for a reason. And if your car is tuned for it, I would try to use it whenever possible.
Q: How much does 2005 Acura TSX side airbag and roof airbag cost?
I want to buy a 2005 TSX car but the car's Driver side, side airbag and roof airbag was deployed. I was wondering how much will it cost me and where I can get it from? The car also needs Driver side front complete door and the fender.

Hi, what iPod kit should I get for my 2004 TSX? I'd like a kit that will allow me to charge and play through the speakers. I hate FM modulators.
I was looking more for recommendations for the aftermarket ones that hook up on the aux, like the second person mentioned.
A: Try crutchfield.com They offer several solutions and will show you solutions that are specific to your car.
In most cases, your only solution will be an FM modulator. But always go with the type that are hard wired into your radio's atenna as opposed to the wireless type.
I've tried to help folks to get those cigarette lighter styled wirelss units to work, and I'd have a better chance trying to get their cars to run on ice cream.

Q: What do I do to keep my 2007 Acura TSX Fog lights from Breaking.?
I can't believe engineers put Glass fog lights one foot off the ground. I can't see replacing them every few months at almost $200 dollars each plus the cost of having them installed which could easly bring the cost up to over $500.This is rediculous. I spoke with Acura and they could care less. Please help.
A: 04 tsx's did not have foglights (only a option). Both of the foglights on my 06 tsx cracked within the first 6 months. The dealer replaced them free as a one-time goodwill. I now have rockblocker (rockblocker.com) on them. One of the biggest complaints with the tsx is the foglights that crack easily.
Q: The front v-shaped chrome part on the front of my acura tsx is peeling/ wearing off?
I've seen many other tsx and tl's and the front of their cars are fine but mine seems to be wearing off and it reveals a black color underneath which doesnt look good. And its only a 2006. Any suggestions on what i should do?

A: The reason is technology. The Cadillac uses advanced technology to allow the engine to burn lower octane fuel without "knocking" or pre-ignition. The higher the octane of the fuel, the harder it is to ignite it. Using low octane fuel in a engine designed for higher octane fuel leads to pre-ignition, or the knocking, clattering sound you hear when the engine is under a load. Fuel and ignition timing, injector duration and pattern and engine internal design can allow a very powerful engine to still use "regular" fuel. Burning high octane fuel in an engine designed for low octane fuel is a waste and can actually damage the engine because all of the fuel may not burn and can dilute the lubrication properties of the oil. Burning low octane fuel in an engine designed for high octane fuel can cause severe damage to pistons, valves and cylinder heads.
