Q: is it possible to swap a 1990 acura integra engine on a 1999 honda civic ex?
I have a 1990 acura integra dual cam engine, is it possible for me to swap it in my honda civic 1999 ex? and whats the price range? would it be worth it?
A: you dont really want to swap a 1990 b18a into a 1999 civic....first things your gonna have to convert the obd 0 motor into a obd2b....second thing is that the b18a is slow....and only gives the same amount of horse power as your stock single came d16y8....third thing is that if your gonna do a b18 swap...make it a b18c (gsr/type r) or if not...atleast a b18b where you have 10 more horses then the b18a.....and wouldnt have to convert the harness or the motor mounts and brackets....
the price range of this type of swap varies from person to person due to hook ups and knowledge of what their doing...also on what parts that theyre putting on....but just to say that this swap is anywhere from 700 to 3000 dollars to do....
Q: where could i get a body kit for my 1990 acura integra around port huron michigan?
Im looking to get a body kit for my 1990 acura integra but i don't want to pay an arm and a leg for shipping so does anyone know where i could get one or someone i could order one through so i don't get stuck with the huge shipping fee?
A: In all honestly, unless you live in California, the best place to find a body kit for you car is online. And any good body/paint shop where you live can put it on and color match if your not going to yourself. But if buying online never take only the price of the kit into consideration, shipping on them is usually 100-200 dollars. Andysautosport.com has a pretty good selection. also check ebay out
Q: how do i change the brakes on a 1994 acura integra?
I need to figure out how to change the rear and front brake pads on my 1994 acura integra???? Can someone help please??
A: First you'll need a caliper tool. It looks like a little box. You can attach it to a rachet and use it to back off the calipers. You can pick it up a the parts store where you get your brake pads.
Then you remove the wheels, use the tool to back off the caliper, remove old pads, put in new ones.
Just remamber to pump the break a little bit before you take the car any where.
Q: rattle and overheating on an Acura Integra?
I have a 1991 Acura integra it's been overheating quite a bit so I changed the radiator hose. The overheating persists and now the engine rattles uncontrollably. It's not a blown head gasket because there's not white in my oil and there's nothing leaking out of the tail pipe. I think it's something small I just don't know what. It has plenty of oil and coolant and other fluids any ideas?
A: for such an old vehicle, it might be two issues. One, is your fan running when the engine goes hot? If so, then check the thermostat, might be stuck closed.
As for the rattling, does it occur at all speeds, or at certain speeds, say 3K rpm? Check the cat. convertor head pan, it might have rusted and is rattling underneath.
Good luck.
Q: Just bought an Acura Integra, and am looking for ways to keep it from getting stolen!?
Just bought an Acura Integra and loving it, however I have heard they are pretty hot for thieves, so I am just wondering what the best ways to keep it from getting stolen are. It has the stock alarm system in it, but I have heard that this can be disabled. Is the Viper Alarm system worth investing into? Any info provided would be appreciated, thanks!
A couple of the viper alarm systems do have GPS tracking which would be helpful..
A: you should get another almarm on top of what you had... i have had many attempts on my integra an on the 4th they broke in and stole my stereo.... needless to say i got another alarm with a two way pager. you should reroute your hood latch cable by doing this : http://www.team-integra.net/sections/articles/showArticle.asp?ArticleID=732
you should also do a fuel cut off switch.. oh and with the alarm get a back up battery for it too.
there isnt anything you can really do to stop a theif who really wants your car, cuz if they cant get it, theyll come back and tow it away( it really does happen) lojak is also good for car recovery join team-integra.net

Q: Is there a Check Engine Light issue with 1997 Acura Integra's?
I have had my 1997 Acura Integra since it rolled out the dealer
lot and has been well maintained, however, the check engine light has gone off and stays on. Are there any recalls from the manufacturer in regard to check engine lights. NOTE: I did receive a letter from Acura regarding this issue a couple of months ago but I threw it out because I did not have this issue at the time. If anyone received this letter please respond with manufacturer recall number.
A: Go to http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/ where you can research service bulletins, recalls and complaints to see if you have a remedy.
Q: Is the Horn on the Acura Integra controlled by a fuse in the car?

A: the fuse also powers the taillights
Q: which car would you rather have, an acura integra or a cadillac deville?
both of them are the same year, lets say '96. both of them have the same mileage (in the 60,000s) and in the same condition.
the acura integra is a gs-r model and is a 2 door coupe with standard transmission.
the cadillac deville is a 4 door sedan with a v-8 engine and leather seats and automatic transmission.
i would choose the cadillac deville, what about you?
A: id choose the acura,to me it would better suit my needs than the caddy would,Cadillacs are excellent cars ,but there not that great on gas,the acura would beat it on gas ,and with the standard shift would be a lot more fun to drive, either one are good cars, but the acura would win out with me over the Cadillac, good luck on it.

Q: Do I need to use Honda power steering fluid in an Acura Integra?
I have a 1991 Acura Integra LS and the power steering fluid is leaking Slowly. I have been using the stuff that says "Stops Leaks" But it does not seem to work that way =D So my question is, Should I use the Honda Power Steering fluid in my Acura Integra? (Honda makes Acura so of course it has a Honda Motor)
A: You can use the honda stuff, which is what is probably recommended but actually you can use any type of power steering fluid like the stuff you buy at walmart. Stop using the stop leak stuff because it will just clog things that weren't ment to be clogged. ON the bottle it says that it seeks out leaks, but actually it seeks out all small holes which are sometimes leaks and sometimes they are just small holes that honda ment to be open. If you keep dumping that stuff in you will end up with no power steering at all.
YOu can actually use automatic transmission fluid too it's pretty much the same thing as power steering fluid. If it were me i'd just use the cheap walmart brand power steering fluid because there is no point in paying alot for the honda brand when the car just blows it all over the ground.
Q: If I buy a new car shell for my 1996 acura integra ls?
hi i just want to ask people if I buy a new used shell for my 1996 acura integra and put the engine tranny and all the parts into the ther car, will the salvage title be changed?since my car has no problem at all will this work?thanks.
A: No, it won't work at all.
You will register that shell as it's own vehicle.
The salvage title for the salvage car won't change at all.
Titles follow the frame of the car, not the engine.
Q: What should i get a 3000gt or an Acura integra?
I wanted a 92-96 3000gt because they were fast and sleek, but i was talked out of it. I heard they break constantly and the repair cost is high. I was told with a few tweaks i could get an 92-96 Acura integra to go just as fast and look just as cool as a 3000gt with being cheaper to fix and more reliable.
So what do you think i should get? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Both cars are the same price BTW
A: The 3000 GT VR-4.
Q: Anyone know about Acura Integra Transmission Problems?
I have a 1997 Acura Integra RS. The problem I have is that when I start the car the RPM reads at about 1500+ when it should be in the 800-900 region. Also, when I shift into D the transmission jumps. I've been told many things including that I need a new torque converter. Anyone know what the problem is and can you offer me a solution?
